In April of 2017, I decided to take the step and make the biggest lifestyle change. I gained some valuable help from a good friend of mine who set me on the road to losing weight. I had looked back through old pictures of myself and realised how much I had changed. I set about a very basic but very effective diet and gym routine. Between April and August of 2017 I got down to 11st 7lb from 13st 7lb.
It took a bit of time getting into the swing of things but as soon as I took those progress pictures, I strived for more.
I feel as though I began to plateau in January of this year but still managed to lose yet another stone putting me down to 10st 5lb. I have always wanted to try and reach that figure I have always dreamt of.
Following my macros closely and cutting out most of what I would have eaten on my original diet started off quite difficult.
Once I had passed the initial two to three days I was on track and focused on getting to my end goal, 3rd May. This would see me on a twelve week plan to strip even more body mass and get that figure I have always wanted. Just three weeks in and I have noticed a massive change. Looking back at the images of me last April gives me the firepower to push myself and never let myself go backwards. I used to train regularly at peak physique but not to any real routine.
A couple of years later and I have rejoined the gym which is such a friendly environment of like minded people. The staff have always been very friendly and always offered any assistance where needed.
It is such a great community to be a part of. Let’s see what the next 9 weeks have in store. A big thank you goes out to the staff and other gym users of Peak Fitness Centre to making this journey pleasurable and quite amusing.
